Priyanka Alva, the would-be wife of Vivek Oberoi is the daughter of senior Janata Dal leader and former Karnataka minister Jeevaraj Alva and his wife, celebrated danseuse and social worker Nandini Alva. According to insiders, the match was arranged by the actor's parents with the help of well-known dancer and choreographer Padmini Ravi, who is a close friend of the Priyanka Alva's mother. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old bride-to-be has nothing to do with the world of glitz and glamor and is a business management graduate from London.

The fact that Vivek Oberoi has decided to marry the girl of his parents choice does not come as much of a surprise as the actor not known to have been very lucky in case of love. The wedding date, according to very reliable sources, is on October 29, two months after Vivek's 34th birthday.
