NEC LaVie S – A New Calpella-Based Laptops

NEC Japan has introduced new multimedia laptop called LaVie S. This model is equipped with 15.6-inch display and can be equipped with a processor Celeron P4500 1,86 GHz, Core i3-350M 2,26 GHz, Core i5-430M 2,26 GHz. In standard configuration, the mobile system has a 2 or 4 GB of RAM, hard disk drive 320 or 500 GB. To display the graphics on the screen using the integrated graphics Intel HD.

Although the promotional materials for NEC LaVie S is referred to as ultraslim, this model is not so thin by today’s standards: the thickness of the shell is 35 mm. In general, it is not better, not worse than the majority of mobile systems such class: DVD recorder, Ethernet 100/1000, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Windows 7 Home Premium (32 – or 64-bit) or Windows 7 Professional ( 64-bit).
