Dinxia Landforms, Beautiful Landscapes in China

China Danxia is a general name for several Danxia landscapes in southern China which were inscribed as a World Heritage Site. The inscribed areas have a total surface of 65446 ha, consisting in an unique type of petrographic geomorfology. A Danxia landform is formed from red colored sandstones and conglomerates of largely Cretaceous age, characterized by a range of erosional landforms and spectacular red cliffs. Amazing sights that include dramatic natural pillars, ravines, vallleys, towers and waterfalls can be found here.

“These rugged landscapes have helped to conserve sub-tropical broad-leaved evergreen forests, and host many species of flora and fauna, about 400 of which are considered rare or threatened.” UNESCO

Danxia is a type of landform named after Mount Danxia, a famous scenic area near Shaoguan city in the northern part of Guangdong. Here are Buddhist temples located on the mountains and many scenic walks can be undertaken. There is also a river winding through the mountains on which boat trips can be taken to enjoy the scenery.

The six provinces with Danxia landforms are: Mount Langshan and Mount Wanfoshan (Hunan Province), Mount Danxia (Guangdong Province), Taining and Guanzhishan (Fujian Province), Mount Longhushan and Guifeng (Jiangxi Province), Fangyan, Mount Jianglangshan (Zhejiang Province), and Mount Chishui (Guizhou Province).

Best Remedies For Indian Hair Forever

Best Remedies For Indian Hair Forever

Indian hair care techniques offer natural, time-tested alternatives to chemical-laden drugstore products. You can cure common hair problems such as dry hair, dandruff, and hair loss with traditional Indian hair care products. Traditional Ayrveda healing methods can help make your hair look and feel healthier.

Amla Powder and Lemon Juice for Stronger

According to Vasant Lad, author of “The Complete Book of Ayurvedic Home Remedies,” a mixture of amla powder and lemon juice can be applied to the hair to help it grow stronger and have a fuller appearance. To make and use this mixture, combine 1 tbsp. amla powder with the juice of one lemon in a small container and shake or stir to dissolve the powder. Gently massage the mixture onto the roots of the hair and scalp and leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing and shampooing. This treatment can be used daily as long as it does not bother your skin or have any adverse side effects. Unused portions of this mixture will keep in the refrigerator for three to four days.

Coconut Milk, Lime Seeds and Cedar Essential Oil for Hair Loss

Melanie A. Sachs, author of “Ayurvedic Beauty Care,” writes that a mixture of coconut milk, lime seeds and cedar essential oil can be applied to the scalp as a topical treatment for hair loss. To make and use this mixture, combine ¼ cup coconut milk, 2 tbsp. lime seeds and 1 tbsp. cedar essential oil in a blender and puree for 10 to 15 seconds to crush the lime seeds. Pour the mixture over wet hair and gently massage it into the scalp for two to three minutes in the shower. Leave the mixture in for 10 minutes before rinsing with water and washing with your regular shampoo. This treatment can be repeated every day as long as it does not bother your skin or cause any irritation to the scalp. Unused portions of the mixture will keep in the refrigerator for about five days.

Oiling Hair

Oiling hair is the most important part of traditional Indian hair care. You should oil your hair three times a week for best results. It makes hair strong and dandruff-free. Always oil your hair before washing it. You can buy a traditional hair oil, such as Amala, from an Indian grocery or just use coconut oil. For specific hair issues, you can infuse coconut oil with herbs such as rosemary or flowers such as hibiscus. Massage oil vigorously into your scalp to increase circulation and promote hair growth. Use a wide-toothed comb to comb the oil down to the ends of your hair. If your ends are dry, you should apply oil directly to the ends as well. Wrap hair in a hot towel for maximum absorption. Leave the oil on for at least an hour or as long as overnight. Wash hair until it is squeaky and free from oil.

Coconut Oil and Olive Oil for Overall Hair Health and Split Ends

Reenita Malholtra, author of “Ayurveda: A Holistic Approach To Health,” notes that a mixture of coconut oil and olive oil is commonly used for general hair health and to get rid of split ends. Combine one part coconut oil with one part olive oil in a container with a tight-fitting lid and shake it to combine the ingredients. Massage a small amount of the mixture onto the scalp and roots of the hair and leave it in for one hour before rinsing with cool water and washing with a mild shampoo. This treatment can be repeated daily as long as it does not cause any irritation, and unused portions can be kept in a cool, dark place for up to six months.

Lettuce and Spinach Juice

A juice made from spinach and lettuce is thought to help with hair growth. Combine some large lettuce leaves and about 1/2 cup of spinach in a food processor. If the mixture is too thick to drink, add some water to thin it out a bit. Blend until smooth, and drink once daily.

Eggs and Castor Oil

India has produced some very interesting hair loss remedies, many of which involve nuts, berries, leaves and eggs. For instance, taking the uncooked yolk of one egg and massaging it into your scalp is known to help hair loss. Keep the yolk on your scalp for about an hour before you wash it off. The healing qualities found in the egg are said to stimulate the hair follicles and recharge hair growth. Another treatment involves applying castor oil to the scalp and roots of the remaining hair. Do not put the castor oil on the hair itself, just the root and the scalp. Wrap a cloth or newspaper around your head and leave it on throughout the night. Wash it off when you wake up in the morning.

Ferrari F40 Stretch Limousine

Pop quiz, hot shot; what’s better than a replica Ferrari F40? If you said an actual Ferrari F40, then you are dead wrong. The correct answer is a replica Ferrari F40 limousine. Fortunately (for us), such things actually exist.

So where would one find such an automotive monstrosity? In Japan, of course! You know, the country that brought us the Mitsuoka Orochi, melon flavored chocolate and a pillow shaped like a kneeling woman’s lap.

With an asking price of just ¥580 (US$6.90) - which is either a misprint or how much confidence the seller has in this vehicle’s worth - this remarkable collision of Japanese underpinnings and European style comes with a CD changer, air conditioning, power steering and windows, keyless entry, sunroof, ABS, an anti-theft system, 19-inch wheels and leather bucket seats. Not to mention the “hearty” 1.6 L powerplant under the hood.

Admittedly, it’s probably nothing more than a Honda Accord or Toyota Corolla under all that new bodywork (the seller says it's a 1989 model), but come on - for US$6.90, what did you expect? As always, take a look at our gallery and let us know your opinion in the comments section below.
